ICID celebrated its 73rd Foundation Day on 24th June 2022. As part of the celebration, a seminar on the theme "Role of Modern Irrigation in Global Food Security" was organized with more than 250 participants from various government agencies, Past Office Bearers. The inaugural event was graced by the presence of - H.E. Mr. Lukmon Bobokalonzoda, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan; H.E. Mr. Nurlan Zhalgasbayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan; H.E. Dr. Manoj Nardeosingh, Secretary-General, African-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO); and senior-level officials from Embassies in Delhi; and representatives of the partner organizations. Executive Director Er. Harish K. Varma welcomed the participants. President Prof. Dr. Ragab Ragab, participated virtually and introduced ICID and its role for achieving the vision "A water secure world free of poverty and hunger through sustainable rural development".
