The ICID logo symbolizes the role of irrigation and drainage towards sustainable agriculture. Enclosed in a circular field symbolizing the global nature of the Organization, it underscores productivity with the plant as a generic mark representing food crop. The plant is rooted in soil and water that represents sustainable agriculture. The undulating lines on the left create an image of water which supports soil, or land by the group of straight lines on the right. The green background symbolizes ecological harmony, while the white leaves and the lines evoke a feeling of peace and tranquility.
