DHAN Foundation works on poverty eradication and sustainable development through community empowerment. To date, it has served over 49.81 lakh families, with 5.89 lakh self-declaring they have “Moved out of Poverty” (MoP) as of October 2023. DHAN’s thematic reach spans across 16 states of India, empowering women through Kalanjiam (SHG-based financial initiatives) and Vayalagam (advancing grassroot level water conservation), CALL (Coastal Conservation and Livelihoods), Rainfed Agriculture Development and Climate Change Adaptation tackle environmental challenges at grassroot level.

I am Biruck Nigatu Tedla, a Water Resources and Irrigation Engineer (M.Sc.) with over 19 years of extensive experience as a Design Engineer and Resident Engineer. Dr. Priju C.P leads the Groundwater Hydrology section of the CWRDM, Kozhikode. Over the last fourteen years, his work has focused on managing groundwater resources of Kerala and Lakshadweep region, integrated water resources management; aquifer management; artificial aquifer recharge; coastal hydrogeology and saline water intrusion; and groundwater source identification using geological and geophysical methods and source sustainability issues. Dr. Madan Kumar Jha is presently Professor (HAG), Head of the Agricultural and Food Engineering Department, and Head of the Center for Rural Development and Innovative Sustainable Technology at IIT Kharagpur, West Bengal, with a specialty in “Groundwater Hydrology”. Dr. P.V. Timbadiya is Associate Professor in Water Resources Engineering Section, Department of Civil Engineering, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, India. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1983 from Diponegoro University, then taught at the UNDIP Polytechnic at that time for 2 years after participating in preparation at PEDC Bandung. Then I left the world of civil engineering for 10 years because I entered the congregation of the Sisters of Divine Providence as a nun. In 1994, I returned to teaching at Soegijapranata Catholic University until 2002.
