Dr. Priju C.P leads the Groundwater Hydrology section of the CWRDM, Kozhikode. Over the last fourteen years, his work has focused on managing groundwater resources of Kerala and Lakshadweep region, integrated water resources management; aquifer management; artificial aquifer recharge; coastal hydrogeology and saline water intrusion; and groundwater source identification using geological and geophysical methods and source sustainability issues. He led the team that prepared several consultancy projects of CWRDM funded by state, central and private agencies and later also in the implementation team. Dr.Priju C.P. has executed 6 research projects and 3 projects are ongoing as Principal Investigator. Three projects are funded by DST-SERB and one is currently under execution. Remaining six projects are funded by KSCSTE-CWRDM of which 2 are currently under execution. He has 60+ publications as journal articles, books chapters, conference papers, reports and knowledge products. He has visited several universities and research institutes across India for attending conferences and meetings. Prior to joining CWRDM, he worked as a project scientist and adhoc faculty in Department of Marine Geology and Geophysics, Cochin University of Science and Technology. He has also worked as Hydrogeologist in Kerala State Rural Supply and Sanitation (KRWSA) project funded by World Bank. He has carried out joint research and development projects with national and state organizations such as National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Hyderabad and State Ground Water Department of Kerala. Priju has a PhD in Marine Geology from Cochin University of Science and Technology, India.
