Director General of Land reclamation and Colonization Division of the Ministry of Agriculture and Foreste. Winner of the "Premio Mezzogiorno: in 1954. Presently conducting a course in techniques of land reclamation at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Bari. Previously taught in water and reclamation legislation at the University of Bari and the Higher Institute of Advanced Studies in Agronomy of the Mediterranean, also in Bari. Member of the Accedemia Economico-Agraria dei Georgofili, Florence, and the Accedemia Nazionale del l`Agricultura, Bologna. Honorary Vice President of ICID and Vice President of Italian National Committee. Member of Italian National Committee, FAO. Worked as Member of the Superior Councils of the Ministries of Agriculture and Public Works; Member of the Special delegation of the Ministry of Public Works to the "Cassa per il Mezzogiorno". Former Vice President of the Sub-Committee studying "Water management of drainage basins" of the Interministerial Commission for Soil Conservation (De Marchi). Member of the National Water Conference. Member of the Technical Administrative Committee of the "Magistrato Acque Venezia". Official reporter for numerous conferences on reclamation, soil, environment, agrarian politics and economy.
