Dr. H. Zolsmann  

Mr. Zolsmann was born on 10 April, 1920, studied at the Technical University Munich and graduated there in 1948 with the degree "Diplom-Ingenieur" for civil engineering. He started his career in water resources administration of the federal state of Bavaria, where in 1950, he underwent successfully the government examination, to entitle him for senior government service. Between 1951 to 1958 he was employed in the water administration office of the district Weilheim/Upper Bavaria. In October 1958 he accepted the offer of assignment by the Federal Minister of Food, Agriculture and Forestry in Bonn up to 1975 as Chief of the division of Water Resources, agriciultural water engineering and coastal protection. In April 1975 he was promoted head of the sub-department "Rearrangement in Rural Territory".He was active member of the Board, or Chairman, in numerous national associations and participates in the work of several international organizations. He was Chairman of the German National Committee of ICID and Vice President of ICID from 1972-1975.
