HE Alfredo L.   Junio

Mr. Junio was born on 29 November, 1918 at Limay, Bataan, Philippines. He got degree of Bechelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1939 (Cum Laude) from University of the Philippines and in 1947 he got Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. He was Minister in the Ministry of Public Works, Transportation and Communications. He was Professor and Chairman, Department of Civil Engineering, University of Philippines. He was Dean University of Philippines, college of engineering, He was also Chairman, Upper Pamapanga River Project, Coordinating Committee, Water Resources Committee, Power Development Council, Executive Director, Presidential Committee on Housing and Urban Resettlement, Chairman-President, University of the Philippines, Engineering Research and Development Foundation, Chairman, Philippines National Committee, ICID. He has been Ex-officio Chairman/Member of a large number of Committees/Councils, Corporations, Authorities, Foundations, Boards and other offices. He has received 19 award, in recognition of his technical competence and distinguished service. He was Vice President ICID from 1979-1982.
