Ch. Altaf Hussain

After graduating in Physics and Mathematics in one of the leading College of Asia, Viz. Government College, Lahore in First Division, Mr. Chaudhary joined the Punjab college of Engineering and Technology, Lahore and got the B.Sc. in Civil Engineering degree also in First Division. In 1947 he joined the Punjab Irrigation Department and in 1954 he was specially selected as Member/Secretary of the Pakistan Canal Water Delegation for negoitation of the Indus Basin Treaty with India under the auspices of the World Bank. Later on he was appointed Chief Engineering Advisor to the Government of Pakistan in March 1974. He was Vice President of ICID from 1981-1984.
