Brief Profile
Dr. Nakahara was born on 26 November 1926. He passed Bechelor of Agriculture in 1952 and took Doctorate in Agriculture in 1981 from the Kyushu University, Japan. He worked FAO Trainee in 1958 with TVA, USBR and US Army Corps of Engineers. He was Executive Director, Japanese Institute of Irrigation and Drainage and Director General, National Research Institute of Agricultural Engineering (1984-1985). He has delivered lectures on Design and Irrigation facilities, etc. at various training courses organised by MAFF. He was Vice President of ICID from 1985-1988.
