Brief Profile
Dr. Istvan Ijjas, Dipl. In Civil Engineering (1962), Dipl. In Economic Engineering (1967) and Ph.D. (Irrigation, 1968), is presently Professor of Water Resources Planning and Deputy Director, Institute of Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering and Deputy Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Technical University of Budapest. His main field of interest is computers in Engineering applications. He is a member of many professional societies, has published many books and papers and is recipient of a number of awards. He was Vice President of ICID from 1990-1993.
