Mr. Khalid Mohtadullah , born 1938, obtained his B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from Pakistan and M.S. degree from MIT, USA. He also completed the advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School, Mass, USA. He has experience of over 35 years in various civil engineering fields and has worked on irrigation systems design and management, planning and preparation of irrigation and drainage projects, regional planning for water resources, and economic and technical monitoring and evaluation of water projects. He is a registered professional engineer of Pakistan Engineering Council and Fellow of the Economic Development Institute of the World Bank. He has earlier worked as Director of Sarhad Development Authority, Peshawar, Principal, Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA)`s Senior Managers Staff College; General Manager (Planning) , WAPDA; and Director (Research) and Deputy Director General in IIMI, Mr. Mohtadullah was also Member and Managing Director (Water) of WAPDA, Pakistan. He was Vice President of ICID from 1995-1998. Presently he is working with Global Water Partnership as Executive Secretary.
