Dr. Behzad Navidi Nassaj is a highly accomplished water resources engineer with a Ph.D. in Water Resources Engineering from IAU University of Iran his dissertation focused on applying in-situ observation and global gridded climate datasets to improve drought monitoring systems. He has also earned a Master of Science in Water Resources Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture-Water Engineering from the same university.
Dr. Navidi Nassaj possesses extensive experience in research and professional work related to water resources management, Drought Monitoring, Drought Prediction, Climate Change, Climate Forecast, and Streamflow Forecast. He is currently a researcher at the Innovation, Technology Development, and Applied Research Office of the Khuzestan Water and Power Authority (KWPA). He has also held consulting positions at TOOSSAB Consulting and Engineering Company. Notably, Dr. Navidi Nassaj holds the position of Executive Secretary of the ICID International Research Program for Irrigation and Drainage- Iran Regional Node (ICID IRPID-IRN), demonstrating his ongoing leadership and commitment to the field.
Dr. Navidi Nassaj has written and published research articles in major water resources journals, with articles in prestigious journals such as Hydrological Sciences Journal, Dynamics of Atmospheres and Oceans, and Journal of Soil and Water Sciences. He is also proficient in using a variety of water resource models, including SWAT, WEAP, HEC-HMS, and black box models such as Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Fuzzy Logic models.
