Mr. Sanjeeb Baral

Mr. Sanjeeb Baral, presently, Executive Director, Water Resources Research & Development Center, Government of Nepal (formerly Director General of Dept. of Water Resources and Irrigation (DWRI).  He worked as Province Secretary of Bagamati Province, Joint Secretary of Govt. of Nepal and Deputy Director General in DWRI.  He has more than 18 years of experience in hydropower, irrigation, and water resources sector. He was a Project Director in Bheri Babai Diversion Multipurpose Project and Budhi Ganga Hydropower Project.  He worked closely in coordination with donor partners like Asian Development Bank, Saudi Development Fund, different international consultants, and stakeholders for the implementation of the above projects.  He is also the past President of NENCID.

Mr. Sanjeeb Baral holds M.Sc. (Water Resources Engg.) and B.Sc. (Civil Engineering) from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu in the year 2007 and 2003 respectively.
