Dr. Nozar Ghahreman

Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Nozar Ghahreman is an Associate Professor of Agrometeorology in Department of Irrigation and Reclamation Engineering, University of Tehran, Iran. He got his BSc, in Irrigation engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran, MSc in Agrometeorology from University of Tehran, Iran and PhD degree in Agricultural Meteorology from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, India. He started his career in 2006 at University of Tehran as Asst Professor, which continued till date. Dr. Ghahreman’s main research areas include Climate change, Crop-Weather models, Soil, Evapotranspiration, Dynamic of land use / land cover .So far, he has published more than 20 papers in international peer reviewed journals, 50 papers in national journals and more than 25 papers in national and international conferences. He has also supervised 25 M.Sc. and 7 Ph.D. thesis and served as referee of several reputed journals as Irrigation and Drainage, ASCE, Int Journal of Biometeorology, Natural Hazards,International Journal of Climate, Computer and Electronics in Agriculture. He is a member of editorial board of Iran Journal of Agrometeorology. He has conducted several projects on climate change impact assessments granted by national scientific funds. Dr Ghahreman is an active member of WG-Climate of International Commission of Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) and contributed in all recent activites of as presenter and referee of submitted papers to ICID and WIF congresses. He has also been a member of Task force for ICID multi language dictionary.
